Class Project Report

Dear Classmates,

Our 50th Reunion is now behind us. I hope you had as good a time as I did. It was a record turnout for our class. We owe a special thanks to the reunion committee for pulling it all together.

A brief summary of the results of our successful 50th Reunion Campaign

  • $6,034,032 overall was raised 197.5% of our goal of $3,000,000

  • $1,000,125 to the Class of 69 Memorial Auditorium in the future Capers Hall Project - 100% of our goal

  • $491,984 to the Class Scholarship 196.8% of our goal of $250,000

  • The remaining $4,631,533 was directed to specific projects/funds designated by our classmates for academics, athletics, leadership programs, or other college programs

  • A total of 70.7% of the class donated during the campaign. The top three companies were H:105.3%, R:96.4% and A:89.3%

  • The top three fund raising companies were H: $2,040,437, E: $1,188,651, and R: $757,224

Thank you for all your efforts and your leadership in this campaign that involved encouraging our classmates to donate their valuable treasure in cash, pledges, and legacy gifts.

Although the campaign is now over, it is important to remember that The Citadel continues to need our annual support. Our class Annual Giving Chairman is Mac Leitner. You can expect to be hearing from him from now on.

My time as Class Reunion Chair is now over. It has been an honor to serve in this capacity and alongside every member of our committee and company representatives. Thank you to all of you for your generosity in helping our alma mater and in establishing our legacy.
